After a revisited Bingo game, the audience was invited to join and take an active part in a 16mm cinematographic parade, drawing both from religious and carnivalesque procession as well as from experimental and fairground cinema history. Three films, three colors which mended into one upon arrival in a local park where natural hues were reconstructed through juxtaposed triple 16mm projection.
Exploring the construction of emotional cartography through the production of a trichromatic film, the artists spent their residency, camera and microphone in hand, exploring the neighbourhood and surrounding region and meeting with locals to collect memories, stories, thoughts and observations.
Utilizing the tools developped during Mire's Wandering Research Seminar (modified battery-run 16mm projectors and mobile backpack stereo sound-system), the artists also built a mobile structure for 16mm parade film projection, able to carry a screen and a projector with a long enough distance between both for appropriate projection.
In the footsteps of popular chilean culture which is their own, the artists call upon notions of tradition, encounters, community and the living memory entrenched in places and people, through the means of a communal experience, equally joyful and colorful.
