Horror Film 1 is a performance that features three film projectors and a body. The projections overlap three loops, generating constantly changing color effects. The performer's body, positioned in front of the screen, gradually moves towards the projectors, executing a series of movements that produce a complex array of colored shadows. The central image is larger than the two side images and is superimposed onto the center of the larger frame. The only soundtrack is a pre-recorded, continuous breathing, which plays throughout the 14-minute performance. Despite its apparent simplicity, the performance thoroughly explores the optical potential of this setup, establishing a connection between the mechanical rolling of the loops and the human body. ~
