Expanded cinema performance that includes 16mm film and sound loops, music and spoken word. Created in collaboration with sound artist Mariette Groot, the performance soundscape features sounds captured during the film recording like karaoke singing or breathing exercises along with the live mix of synths, samples and acoustic instruments. The film depicts everyday life actions intertwined with moments of mystery and sudden inexplicable death, seemingly linked to the use of phones. The original images were co-created with friends allowing for spontaneous decision-making on set. The footage, featuring dust, scratches, and underexposed moments, embraces imperfections and the qualities of hand-processing colour film.
